Ordinary Driving

14 hours of driving from Dallas, TX to Laramie WY.  Across the plains.  There aren’t even hills for the first 12 hours of driving.  These are our ordinary days.  Driving long distances together to get to the next work site. It is ordinary and wearing and good.  Every long drive includes laughing, music, phone calls, serious conversations.  Isn’t that the reality of every life.  Good and bad, easy and difficult, all mixed in together like cookie dough. Batter wouldn’t be good if it were just the butter or just the sugar or both of those without the flour.

Our first glimpse of the Rockies again.

Our dog turning her back to us because she is upset that it is raining.

How do you feel when you see the Rocky Mountains again?

Is your dog ridiculous sometimes?  She is so mad she is completely ignoring us right now.
